Royal Pains‘ upcoming fifth season is shaping up to be a real horror story.
The USA Network dramedy has recruited American Horror Story‘s Frances Conroy for a multi-episode guest arc, TVLine has learned.
Conroy will play Blythe Ballard, a member of the Hamptons elite who lives next door to Hank and Evan’s Shadow Pond.
After Hank treats Blythe for an arm injury, Evan is determined to make her one of HankMed’s regular clients. But she’s not so easily persuaded, and she’s got a few surprises in store for the Lawson brothers.
In addition, Callum Blue (Smallville, The Tudors) will recur as Milos Kuester Ratenicz, cousin of Campbell Scott‘s Boris. Milos has the same genetic disease as Boris did, and Hank — still suspicious about Boris’ death — seeks answers from Milos in Prague.
Elsewhere in the season, Kevin Kilner (Almost Perfect, Earth: Final Conflict) and Liza Lapira (Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23) guest-star as a couple who turn to Hank after Lapira’s character, Erika, experiences strange symptoms before a big fundraiser. Also, Stephen Bishop (Girlfriends) shows up as a minor league baseball player in need of HankMed’s services.
